Fresh air inlet with Wind Pressure Protection

The getAir Fresh air inlet (ALD) achieves unique sound insulation values on the market. It is ideal for properties with high sound insulation requirements. Special wind pressure protection prevents cooling down during high winds. Furthermore, draughts are avoided by the optimal air guidance of the acoustically and flow-optimised internal grilles.

In conjunction with the SmartFan XR exhaust air system, the system offers cost-effective controlled domestic ventilation without heat recovery. Should energy requirements increase later, the system can be easily retrofitted for controlled domestic ventilation with heat recovery.

Compatible
with all getAir supply and exhaust air systems

The ALDs can be easily combined with the shell construction kit of the SmartFan and easyFan series supply and exhaust air systems, which naturally include the reveal, roof, and cellar solutions. A subsequent upgrade of the ALD systems to fan-assisted domestic ventilators with heat recovery, such as the SmartFan, is easily possible due to the modular design.

Sound insulation ring
with 3 chambers

The volume flow and sound insulation are variably adjustable during installation thanks to the innovative sound insulation element. The sound insulation element consists of a ring with 3 chambers. Each chamber can be opened separately to respond flexibly to volume flow and sound requirements.

Wind pressure protection
with insect filter

To prevent living spaces from cooling down during high wind loads, the wind pressure protection component features a non-return flap that closes automatically at high volume flows. Unique is the coarse dust filter unit, which is located in front of the system and can be replaced independently.

Controlled Domestic Ventilation
without Heat Recovery

In combination with the SmartFan XR exhaust air system for internal damp rooms and the fresh air inlet, mechanical supply and exhaust ventilation is created. It is important to pay attention to the volume flows and the positioning of both systems. All calculations for design are carried out, depending on the application, according to DIN 1946-6 and DIN 18017-3.

Fresh air inlet | getAir – Planning and Installation

When planning the ALDs, please ensure that the installer positions the systems according to the principle of cross-ventilation. The getAir experts recommend installing the fresh air inlet in equal numbers on both the windward and leeward sides of the external wall. This creates a constant air exchange throughout the entire dwelling.

With appropriate planning and preparation of the ALDs, upgrading to a system with heat recovery, such as the SmartFan®, is easily possible. Ensure that the ALD systems are designed according to DIN 1946-6 “Nominal Ventilation”. For later electrical installation, it is advisable to pre-cut the mounting pipes.
